While its announcement was largely inevitable, I am still excited to report that Assassin’s Creed III officially has a release date: October 30th.

The news was the highlight of today’s earnings call by developer Ubisoft.

Ubisoft President Yves Guillemot did not mention any details other than the name and release date, but confirmed that the game has been in development for three years (when the last numbered Assassin’s Creed game came out) and that it will be the largest marketing push in Ubisoft’s history.

Now that the cat is out of the bag, I am sure we will see more information on Ubisoft’s highly anticipated stab simulator very soon.
