I feel like I’ve heard about this game for years now and have only had the few trailers and news tidbits creator Brian Provinciano have slowly leaked out. RCR looks to be about everything fun I want out of a retro style Grand Theft Auto game. The trailers alone have sold me on what Brian is crafting with the great music and constant throwbacks to old NES games.

The reason it has taken so long is all in due to Mr. Provinciano being the sole programmer on the game. He basically handles everything besides the music and a few little projects here and there. I’m very much looking forward to finally being able to play RCR when it releases in May for just about everything including PS3, Vita, XBLA, WiiWare & PC/Steam, although these releases might be a bit staggered.

THE PLAYER is out for a friendly frolic of CRIME CAPERS when suddenly ambushed by EVIL GOOD GUYS. They will stop at nothing to end his RAMPAGE OF DOOM threatening the citizens of Theftropolis City. Are YOU bad enough to defeat the EVIL GOOD GUYS?

I’m really excited to finally see a release window for the game and hope more people find out about Retro City Rampage. Just watch the trailer and you will be sold on what this game is aiming for. If you are a fan of old school games, you need to check this game out right now.
